Dorward Energy Corporation, an Ohio corporation, was incorporated in October 1989, yet its roots go back to the early 1950s when Delbert Goff, grandfather of the current president, David A. Dorward, Jr., began to drill wells in West Virginia. David A. Dorward, Sr. became involved in the business in the late 1950s and ran it until his death in 1989.

The company’s operations are in western Pennsylvania and north-central West Virginia. They currently operate more than 100 wells.

The company’s headquarters was located in Columbus, Ohio, until June 2005, when it relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. All administrative activities are performed there.

David A. Dorward, Jr. has an undergraduate degree in Economics from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA in Marketing from Seton Hall University.

Dorward Energy Corporation raises most of its capital for exploration and development internally, but will occasionally invite a few investors to participate on larger projects.
